I am a lady who loves literature. My consistent appreciation for reading was established when I was a 2nd grader. My parents, older sister, family friends and teachers always composed reading lists and/or often recommended books for me to read. (Throughout my scholastic career, I was a star student. I graduated from high school with an all-around 3.7 GPA).

Lady Who Loves Literature (10/28/2017)

I've read the following books in the last few months...

I found Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny by Holly Madison to be very interesting. I always had questions about life at the Playboy mansion. I watched 'The Girls Next Door' when it aired on E! and was curious about what really occurred behind the scenes. Madison's book answered many of my questions (and assumptions).
Tiff Fact: I was invited/selected to attend a Playboy party but I did not attend.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury didn’t grab me right away. I went days without reading it but by the time I reached 'The Sieve and the Sand’, I was hooked! I am so glad that I did not give up on reading this book.
Tiff Note: The Salamander’s mechanical hound (read the book to understand) immediately reminded me of Spot, the robot dog (present-day / video below). Remember, this book was published in 1953.

I enjoyed reading  Good Me, Bad Me by Ali Land. This book is centered around a teenage girl who is living with her serial killer mother, removed from her unfortunate childhood and fostered into the care and home of a therapist, his wife and teenage daughter.

I barely put Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology by Leah Remini down! This book is a page-turner and worth reading. Leah is very candid and blunt... I love her for being so!

War On The Saints by Jessie Penn-Lewis is essential reading for Christians. This book gets down to the nitty-gritty of the spiritual realm. The information in this book will challenge what you think you believe as a believer!

Good As Gone by Amy Gentry is centered around a family whose oldest daughter was kidnapped from her bedroom in the middle of the night and explores how her kidnapping (and reappearance) affects their lives collectively and as individuals.

Never a dull moment while reading The Flight Attendant by Chris Bohjalian. This book focuses on the life of an international flight attendant and her eventful lifestyle outside of work!

I enjoyed reading The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. This book is about a divorcée whose ex-husband is getting remarried and how she chooses to deal with her emotions, mental state and life because of it.

I am currently reading (off and on) Tied Up In Knots by Andrea Tantaros. In her book, she focuses on topics, situations and stories surrounding the traditional and not-so-traditional relationships and gender roles between men and women.

I love libraries and visit them regularly (Summer 2017)
